“Millennium Falcon at Bespin” by Ben Tankard

I bought a couple of paintings from Ben Tankard early last year and i like his broad style. This year, Ben contacted me and asked me what my ideal painting was. I must confess that i don’t really have an ideal image in my head as i like to see how the artist interprets the Falcon. However, Bespin has always been my favourite scene so i asked him to do something along those lines. Here’s what he came up with.

I must say, i really like it and for $40 plus postage, it’s a great price. There’s also a second painting entitled “Escape from Bespin” showing the top of the Falcon that i’d like to get when payday comes.

He’s also done a companion “Slave 1 over Bespin” painting that i’m rather taken with.

I thoroughly reccommend him. Check out his Etsy page and contact him if there’s something specific that you want painted.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related collectibles as it increases.
