About me?

I never know what the hell i’m supposed to put on these things. Well, i’m 40 years old and have been into Star Wars since i first saw it at the cinema in 1977. I have been collecting on and off for the entire time, but like most of you, my collecting habits waxed and waned over the years. Initially got back into it big time when Timoth Zahn’s Heir to the Empire came out and again when i got my first high end collectible from code 3 and discovered the rebelscum forums. I’m not married, so i have no discipline. My collection’s all over the place and i’ve run out of room so i came to the conclusion that my collecting habits drastically need to change so i needed a focus.

Why the Millennium Falcon? Well, no one seemed to have one at the time and the Falcon is one of the coolest ships in Cinematic and SF history. Why not?

A big nerd and proud of it, i’ve been Into Science Fiction my whole life, my favourite films outside of the trilogy are the usual suspects (Silent Running, Blade Runner, Aliens, the Matrix et al). Favourite authors are Iain M. Banks, Alastair Reynolds, Greg Bear and Edmund Cooper.

I appreciate that this is a pretty niche blog, but i will attempt to make it interesting so any feedback is always welcome. πŸ™‚

Many thanks Doctor Crankenstein. I don’t know what you did, but my hit rate has shot up since you first mentioned my blog. Thanks. πŸ™‚

    P.S. What’s a blog-roll?

  3. doctorcrankenstein says:

You’re very welcome. In a cruel twist of fate mine has gone down somewhat recently 😦
As for a blog-roll It’s a list of links to blogs you like/read in the column on the side of your page. I think it’s in the links section of the word-press control panel.

I see you have it up now. Good work πŸ™‚

You should remove the standard things like Documentation/Plugins/Suggest Ideas to tidy it up a little πŸ™‚ Most people remove the Meta widget too…

I was up working on my lego falcon, and just took the time to view the site a bit. I’m either impressed or amused. Yes, you are a nut, but one I can admire. If you ever need US assistance in acquiring items, I’d be willing to help. Email me if you’re interested.

  6. No matter how old you are…Star Wars will always rock. πŸ™‚ I love it too, not as much as others, but it’s awesome.

Hi, I came across your blog while doing some research for an upcoming art show in Seattle and I thought you may be interested in knowing of the galleries existence. This will be the second year we have an all Star Wars themed art show at Ltd Gallery in Seattle mid December. I believe Steve Thomas and Jason Christman are represented in the show as are many other Seattle area artists born out of the Star Wars generation. All the work and prints should be available to view and buy
online once the show is up. – http://www.ltdartgallery.com/category/star-wars

Anyways, the blog is awesome, I love seeing all this stuff, Cheers!

  11. I posted a bunch of images from the Star Wars Galaxy trading card sets (early 1990s). One of the images is a very cool graphic of the Falcon that you may not have seen before. Have a look: http://comicsagogo.com/2013/08/29/star-wars-galaxy-trading-cards/. You are welcome to copy it.

    Hi Rod,
sorry to leave an unrelated comment here, I’m just wondering if you received my emails to you?
    Many thanks

  14. BrynBo says:

did you receive my emails? I’ve re-sent them about 3 times over the past few months but I’ve not heard back from you yet. Please let me know if you’ve changed your email address. I was just saying that If you’ve not had much luck with finding some boxes to pack the replicas in, that I could send you some if it makes things easier. I found some good sized ones that should be big enough. Oh and by the way, how amazing did the Millennium Falcon look in the new trailer? I got goosebumps when it shot into hyperspace. Hope to hear back from you soon.
