I never know what the hell i’m supposed to put on these things. Well, i’m 53 years old and have been into Star Wars since i first saw it at the cinema in 1977. I have been collecting on and off for the entire time, but like most of you, my collecting habits waxed and waned over the years. Initially got back into it big time when Timoth Zahn’s Heir to the Empire came out and again when i got my first high end collectible from code 3, which is about the same time that i discovered the rebelscum forums. My collection’s all over the place and i’ve run out of room so i came to the conclusion that my collecting habits drastically need to change so i needed a focus.
Why the Millennium Falcon? Well, no one seemed to have one at the time and the Falcon is one of the coolest ships in Cinematic and SF history. Why not?
A big nerd and proud of it, i’ve been Into Science Fiction my whole life, my favourite films outside of the trilogy are the usual suspects (Silent Running, Blade Runner, Aliens, the Matrix et al). Favourite authors are Iain M. Banks, Alastair Reynolds, Greg Bear and Edmund Cooper.
I appreciate that this is a pretty niche blog, but i will attempt to make it interesting so any feedback is always welcome. 🙂
Just thought I would let you know that I have added you to my blog-roll 🙂
Many thanks Doctor Crankenstein. I don’t know what you did, but my hit rate has shot up since you first mentioned my blog. Thanks. 🙂
P.S. What’s a blog-roll?
You’re very welcome. In a cruel twist of fate mine has gone down somewhat recently 😦
As for a blog-roll It’s a list of links to blogs you like/read in the column on the side of your page. I think it’s in the links section of the word-press control panel.
OK, that was quite handy as i was wondering how to get links up on the page.
I see you have it up now. Good work 🙂
You should remove the standard things like Documentation/Plugins/Suggest Ideas to tidy it up a little 🙂 Most people remove the Meta widget too…
Hey there. I saw this and thought of you… http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330471212810
Thank Kudos, very much appreciated. That guitar’s superb. 🙂
I was up working on my lego falcon, and just took the time to view the site a bit. I’m either impressed or amused. Yes, you are a nut, but one I can admire. If you ever need US assistance in acquiring items, I’d be willing to help. Email me if you’re interested.
LOL. A nut you say? I don’t know whether to be flattered of insulted. 😉
You think i’m bad, check out Mike Demaine’s Docking Bay 94. http://www.mikedemaine.com/db94/index.html
No matter how old you are…Star Wars will always rock. 🙂 I love it too, not as much as others, but it’s awesome.
Always. MTFBWY. 🙂
Hey its me again…David Bass….I’m the Yoda collecter with the 4 Padawan learners.I just wanted to thank you for turning me on to Rebel scum. Its allowed me to access some great Yoda swag and other really cool Jedi related merchandise. KEEP UP THE GREAT SITE AND THANKS AGAIN!!!
Cood David, i’m glad you like it. Apart from my blog, it’s my favourite place on the interwebs. 🙂
You don’t have to explain your love for the millennium falcon. It’s awesome. Enough said.
Oh man, I just stumbled across this site. I have always adored the Millennium Falcon. Seeing a website like this just warms my heart.
I’m glad you like it, Josh. 🙂
Hi, I came across your blog while doing some research for an upcoming art show in Seattle and I thought you may be interested in knowing of the galleries existence. This will be the second year we have an all Star Wars themed art show at Ltd Gallery in Seattle mid December. I believe Steve Thomas and Jason Christman are represented in the show as are many other Seattle area artists born out of the Star Wars generation. All the work and prints should be available to view and buy
online once the show is up. – http://www.ltdartgallery.com/category/star-wars
Anyways, the blog is awesome, I love seeing all this stuff, Cheers!
Cool, thanks for the heads up, I’ll definitely check it out. You should also contact Mile Demaine. He has the superior collection and Is based in the Seattle area.
I posted a bunch of images from the Star Wars Galaxy trading card sets (early 1990s). One of the images is a very cool graphic of the Falcon that you may not have seen before. Have a look: http://comicsagogo.com/2013/08/29/star-wars-galaxy-trading-cards/. You are welcome to copy it.
awesome site, will be back checking again in less than twelve parsecs
sorry to leave an unrelated comment here, I’m just wondering if you received my emails to you?
did you receive my emails? I’ve re-sent them about 3 times over the past few months but I’ve not heard back from you yet. Please let me know if you’ve changed your email address. I was just saying that If you’ve not had much luck with finding some boxes to pack the replicas in, that I could send you some if it makes things easier. I found some good sized ones that should be big enough. Oh and by the way, how amazing did the Millennium Falcon look in the new trailer? I got goosebumps when it shot into hyperspace. Hope to hear back from you soon.

Big fan of the site and all the awesome Millennium Falcon gadgets/decorations/statues/trinkets/etc. you manage to find. My collection here in the US is not nearly as extensive or as impressive as yours, but I’m hoping to expand it gradually and steadily. I don’t know if you’ve seen this one yet, but here’s one item I came across that is pretty impressive and am personally saving for soon – hopefully. https://www.engraversdungeon.com/products/millennium-falcon-extra-large?_pos=4&_sid=451dd1a5d&_ss=r#ProductMediaGroup-product-template
Anyway – love the site and always look forward to the new things you’ve posted. They are always impressive.
One more thing – have you ever thought of posting your own collection or allowing users to post their’s? Maybe a separate section just for people to admire yours and other’s collections. I’d love to see all the things you collected over the years.
Thanks for the email and the kind words. It’s always wonderful to meet other collectors and I’d love to see some photos of your collection. Can you tell me what the favourite items in your collection are? I could show guest collections. Have you checked out Mike Demaine’s site? That is a collection. He hasn’t posted anything for a while, but it is well worth checking out.
I’d love to open the blog up to others, but I’m not sure how I’d do it. On a personal note, I would thoroughly recommend the blogging as a part of the hobby as I think it adds so much to it. Almost like I’m discussing it with other, like minded people. Send me some photos to email@example.com if that’s okay?
As for the collection, alas it isn’t as impressive as you think as there are a lot of items that I don’t have, but I’ve documented them anyway.
