Millennium Falcon Hold by JazzInc Dioramas

With the exception of the Hot-Toys Millennium Falcon and the dioramas that were showcased a few years ago, there isn’t really a lot of 1:6 collectibles out there for me. JazzInc Dioramas has a rather unique niche in the creation of bespoke display dioramas to display your 1:6 scale figurines in common displays, such as Ikea’s Detolf or Besta showcases.

This year, they’re looking to release a diorama of the Millennium Falcon hold in their 1/6 “Truscale” line to display figures from Star Wars: A New Hope.

I have to say that i am impressed. The diorama features the circular couch, Dejarik table and part if the archway and has a photograph back drop. (Although the creators have deliberately made the design modular and there is talk of the potential of expanding the scene further.)

As you can see from this photo of the couch, the details look pretty good and it contains lighting as well.

Dimensions are 35, x55, x55 centimetres, so it’s not small. My first thought that these may have been 3d printed, but reading the site, these are made by hand using aircraft grade aluminium, Perspex and forex, so they are durable and you get what you pay for. I think the $600 asking price is pretty reasonable.

You can also choose to purchase it in 3 or 6 monthly instalments.

Due to be shipped out in kit form some time around 26th July and the final edition size will be announced then. Each kit will contain:

  • The classic millennium falcon floor
  • The Millennium Falcon bench seat
  • Battery operated light up feature on the bench seat!
  • The Holographic Chess table (Dejarik Holochess table)
  • The back wall with part of the opening
  • Hose details and greeblies
  • A background graphic behind the opening to suggest the hallway beyond
  • The Deagostini Sleep Bunk

I have made contact and asked about shipping to the UK as I would like to add one to my collection.

If you are a 1:6 figure collector, you should really check out their website as there are some very cool dioramas to display your Star Wars and Marvel collection.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related collectibles as it increases.
