Millennium Falcon by Joe Everson

These Star Wars paintings are by portrait artist Joe Everson are rather nice. I love the broad, colourful nature of his work. There are two Millennium Falcon paintings on his website. The first is this rather impressive 24″ by 48″ painting of the top view of the Falcon. It looks to me like she’s in hyperspace.

It comes with a certificate of authenticity and in addition to a signature, the artist also has imprints his thumb on each of his paintings. A pretty personal and unique touch.

The second is of the Falcon in flight. it’s slightly larger than the other one at 36″  by 48″. Both sold for $2, 000, so I’m just posting for posterity.

Acrylic on canvas, It must take ages to paint with that amount of colour.

There are quite a few Star Wars paintings on his site. Mostly portraiture, with my personal favourite being a simple Imperial Royal Guard. There are a few vehicles there, too, which I have posted here. But only because they fit in with my personal focus better.

Each one really give the impression of speed and movement, in my opinion.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.
