1980 original Russ Manning comic Strips

At $200 this Ebay auction is a little rich for my blood, but I thought that it was interesting.

“Original Star Wars daily newspaper strip for Saturday, June 28, 1980!  Drawn by the great Russ Manning, assisted by Rick Hoberg, Mike Royer and others.  This strip from very near the end of Russ’ run features Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon near a crashed Tie Fighter, and a bunch of Snogars on skis! The art measures 14 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches tall, on 15 3/4″ x 7 1/4″ illustration board.  It is in excellent condition.  I am selling these strips on behalf of the Manning family, with all proceeds going to defray the cost of Mrs. Manning’s medical care.  These strips are hard to find, as most have stayed in the hands of the Manning family, and Russ’ tenure on the strip was only a little over a year. Don’t miss this opportunity to get your hands on a unique piece of real modern cultural history!”

1 Response to 1980 original Russ Manning comic Strips

  1. Hey There Mffanrodders,
Thanks for that, I have through twenty of the original Russ Troll dolls i bought new when i was like ten from the Russ keep. Im mid 20’s now and took them out of storage to get rid of them but i have no plan how quite a bit they are value and how i can sell them? I detailed them on craigslist but im from a smaller city and doubt i will have a lot of luck. Ive acquired on ebay well before but certainly not marketed. I do have a sellers paypal account due to a newly released own transaction so i do know how to use that. Ive listened to ebay expenses for use of the services. Does someone know how i can get rid of these facts?? Most even have original tags and the great ones are about a foot tall. Mint problem. The more compact kinds are like 5″ tall, also mint. Thanks!!
I’ll be back to read more next time
