Celebration Japan Medal from 2008

This one reminds me of the Franklin Mint medallions my dad used to collect in the 80s. 🙂

I came across this small medallion commemorating Japanese toys from Celebrations Japan in 2008. It features a Maruka Millennium Falcon eraser and was limited to 350. I have to say that it’s not your average find and I quite like it. The images and text are very clear and it’s obviously a quality casting.

Damn, the seller won’t ship to the UK.

After a little digging, I found this seller on Amazon who apparently has 10 to sell. This information about the medallions was on the site.

“Two-inch pewter medallion commemorating classic Star Wars toys released in Japan in 1978, featuring a Millennium Falcon toy. Direct from the 2008 Star Wars Celebration Japan. This medallion was a give-away from Celebration Japan where it was limited to 350 of each. Majority of these collectibles remained in Japan and this compliments the Medallions from Star Wars Celebration Europe and US held in 2007. Medallion was sponsored by Earl Bergquist.”

10/01/12: Mike sent this through and i received it this morning. It’s about 3 inches across and quite hefty. I love it. Thanks Mike. 🙂

No worries. They won’t ship to the UK. I just sent a mail to see if you had one? Were you interested in getting one and if you were, would you mind getting me one? 🙂
