Action Fleet and the Hasbro Titanium

Back when i was collecting Micro Machines, Hasbro had another line called “Action Fleet”.  Larger than micro machines at about 8 inches, these were fairly decently detailed models of many of some of the Star Wars Ships. I bought this one recently on ebay. Not too bad at all. I believe that there were some package variations as the original Action Fleet packaging was grey and black striping. One to pick up in the future.

Hasbro also release their “Titanium Series” which were made out of metal.

Again, i recently won the Titanium Millennium  Falcon. Being made of metal. this does have a nice hefty feel to it, although i was rather disappointed to find out that it is exactly the same as the plastic Action Fleet version. If i had to choose between the two, i definately prefer this one though. It’s weight definately makes it feel better and the fact that it’s made of metal makes the paint app look a lot less like a toy.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.
